Luxury hotel description
Zimbabwe is well known for many excellent golf courses and the perfect climate to make playing 18 holes a pleasure all year round. Most of these courses are in the capital city, but there is one that is just as enjoyable and may be even more challenging. It is under the expert care and management of African Sun and is located in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe`s premier tourist destination.
The Elephant Hills Resort boasts an 18-hole championship golf course designed by the legendary Gary Player. It is as popular with the wildlife as it is with golfers, as it is not uncommon for play to be interrupted while buck, warthogs or elephants exercise their right to walk on the fairways. Many golfing guests see this as an added bonus and, of course, it makes for great banter over a drink afterwards. Nowhere in the world is there such an experience for golfers as that at the Elephant Hills Resort in Victoria Falls.
This environmentally correctly-positioned hilltop hotel, with its great solid structure, is sited by a trail that has seen the passage of countless elephants over thousands of years. It deliberately imposes itself on the surrounding riverine bush. Its tranquil evergreen setting on the upper Zambezi River belies the might of the Victoria Falls just three kilometres away.
The Elephant Hills Resort contains 276 luxury rooms including, 11 executive suites, one deluxe suite and one presidential suite which are served by three restaurants and two bars, and the whole complex is expertly run by African Sun`s dedicated staff.
